We know that there is a lot of conflicting information out there about COVID and it is difficult for us to discern it all. This statement is to address the processes we take at Kolache Krave and how it applies to us in the food industry.
- We sanitize all surfaces with hypochlorous acid
- Our employee temperatures are taken daily
- We wear masks when interacting with customers
- We wear gloves while preparing food
- We are following food handler’s processes and rules
- Customers can wear masks by choice and are not mandatory
We would like to point you to the WHO website which states the following:
“There is currently no evidence that people can catch COVID-19 from food or food packaging. COVID-19 is a respiratory illness and the transmission route is through person-to-person contact and through direct contact with respiratory droplets generated when an infected person coughs or sneezes.”
Governor Gary Herbert recently issued an Executive Order (2020-74), effective November 9, 2020, which among other things, mandates the wearing of face masks while within 6 feet (whether indoors or outside) of any individual from a separate household and precludes social gatherings of individuals from separate households. The Utah Department of Health followed with a similar Public Health Order (2020-22). These Orders have state-wide application and will remain in force at least until November 23, 2020, unless modified or extended beyond that date.
